Our in-house Manufacturing Facility

We have our own manufacturing facility coming up, with a capacity of producing over 50 tonnes per month. We have sophisticated laboratories, and use of modern technology to manufacture our blends that have developed through rigorous research and development processes.

Our process for tea blends, herbal infusions and other coarse powder blend.
Sourcing of herbs, raw materials, tea leaves and packaging material:  We source our raw materials from a diverse set of vendors and growers who follow sustainable  practices of farming and harvesting and follow good agricultural & collection practices (GACP). Our tea leaves are procured from Rainforest Alliance Certified Tea Estates in Assam, and Darjeeling, who also follow the HACCP method to process the tea leaves.  Our herbs are procured from vendors and growers from different states in India like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and South of India.  We ensure that high quality raw materials are procured along with their Certificate of Analysis (COA) that ensures that all quality parameters are met before they are considered for the production process.

Cleaning may involve screening, washing, peeling, or stripping leaves from stems.

Herbs are cleaned and washed to remove visible contaminants like small stones, earthy materials and dust etc. The cleaning process also involves the latest technology such as air shower/air duster etc. as appropriate.

Drying reduces moisture content to a requisite level‚ÄĒmaintaining chemical constituents of the tea leaves and herbs, and preventing reactions that may occur in the presence of moisture. It improves the quality of the herbs, making them resistant to the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria & fungi. Drying imparts pharmaceutical elegance to the herbal raw material.

Sun Drying
This method, used since ancient times, requires no drying equipment and uses solar energy. It requires large amounts of space, however, and crude herbs can be damaged by the weather. Sun drying is labour intensive and can take weeks.

For certain crude herbs that contain volatile oil , they need shed-drying, a method in which these herbs are placed by hand on drying frames or stands, to be air-dried in barns or sheds. This method of drying is also labour-intensive and can take weeks.

Tray drying is a temperature controlled drying. This is done for herbs and tea leaves etc. ( raw material) after they have been washed or de-dusted ( as per need ) and then. The drying is continued till desired moisture content is obtained.

Choppers are used to reduce the size of raw herbs, especially leaves and small stems before grinding. It improves the efficiency and yield of grinding of crude herbs.

Usually, we source chopped herbs directly from the vendors to save on time and increase efficiency.  However, if needed, done through SS grade choppers.

A special kind of grinder called an automatic pulveriser is used to prepare a powder from raw herbs. It can powder fragile elements like leaves and flowers, as well as hard crude herbs like roots and stems.

All our blends are 100 % natural.
A spiral blender is used to prepare a homogeneous blend of coarse powdered raw herbs, along with tea leaves ( as per need be) or solely a herbal blend. It is an efficient and versatile machine for mixing dry powder and granules homogeneously. The spiral technology used within the blender enables uniform mixing and easy discharge of the blend.

Natural Hand Blending:
In order to save the required size of fragile plant material eg. tea & herbs it is done carefully as per need. Strict aseptic and hygienic precautions/ procedures followed in such operation.

To achieve the desired particle size of the powdered herbs, proper sieving is carried out. Vibrosifter is used as a sieve to get powder of desired particle size.

Loose leaf Finished product /Final Blend packaging
Finally, the coarse powder blend is packed in food grade aluminum pouches and then in hardbound paper mono cartons.

We also pack loose tea leaf and herbal blends in brown craft paper pouches suited to the customer's needs.

Tea Bag Packaging :
Our tea bags are made up from biodegradable corn starch paper which is quality paper and unique in nature being matchless in sector. The bags are temperature stable. The bags are of adequate size &  capacious,  thus  allowing the  tea inside  to have a certain amount of movement offering optimal level of taste. Tea bags create no mess and do not get soggy.
