To equip them with tools, techniques, skills, and knowledge to help them develop their own well-being, connect within and bring balance to their lives, Woman: Celebrate Yourself, an initiative undertaken by Butterfly Ayurveda brought together a group of women from different walks of life. This exclusive wellness event was held by Akshi Khandelwal, founder of Butterfly Ayurveda on 11th March 2023 focused on a special workshop that helped them connect with their inner self, get connected with their own Qi flow, and learn a lot more about holistic wellbeing under the guidance of Shifu Yan Xiang (also known as Shifu Kumar), a 34th Generation Shaolin Temple Warrior Secular Disciple, and founder of Damo Shaolin Kung Fu School Bharat.
Shifu Yan Xiang is a master of martial arts and also possesses profound knowledge on subjects of Ayurveda and Astrology . The workshop threw light upon easy exercises suitable for the women to improve their joint health, guidance on marma point therapy for specific health needs, a powerful Qi Gong technique; the practice of which would help all participants in overall wellness, along with overcoming any chronic ailments.
Participants were able to receive answers to their health issues, and felt delighted and rejuvenated with the workshop. The event was a success, and the attendees benefited from the insights and training in Qi Gong provided by the Master. In a conversation with one of the participants, Stuti shared her thoughts on the event, “Thank you for this initiative, I got so much clarity about what I want to do. A big thanks to Shifu who translated his knowledge in easy understandable terms that would remain with me. I hope to be a part of many more such amazing afternoons.”
Akshi Khandelwal, Founder of Butterfly Ayurveda who organised the workshop said, ‘‘The idea behind this initiative is to draw women’s focus inwards, towards themselves and their own wellbeing. Events such as these are larger than life experiences that are cherished, and last forever. We were blessed to have Shifu Rajesh Kumar with us to celebrate ourselves and mentor us through the workshop."
For a lot of the participants, the workshop was an eye opener and enlightened them to an approach towards life that they hadn’t traversed yet.Butterfly Ayurveda sponsored the Qi Gong workshop, and it was conducted by Damo Shaolin Kungfu School. The limited capacity workshop took place between 11:00 am – 2:00 PM and provided an opportunity for women to celebrate Women's Day by focusing on their wellness, camaraderie amongst women, and their empowerment. Ms. Akshi plans to grow this initiative from year to year basis, and bring more and more women together in its circle of wellness.
